The Uncle Kenny Fund is a mutual aid fund and a tribute to love, memory, and the quiet power of showing up for one another. Created by W.E.S.T. Side Connect in honor of our founder’s beloved Uncle Kenny Timpson—who passed suddenly on November 25, 2024—the fund carries forward his legacy as a steady, open-armed giver.

This mutual aid fund provides emergency support to Black, Indigenous, and Pacific Islander communities in Washington County, offering practical help when life tilts unexpectedly. In Uncle Kenny’s spirit, we provide judgment-free support: gas, temporary lodging, groceries, small bill assistance, and other urgent needs that help families steady themselves.

Because Uncle Kenny’s love stretched far beyond one place, the fund also supports communities he cherished in Seattle, Washington; Ocean Shores, Washington; Las Vegas, Nevada; the area of Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, affectionately known as the DMV; and our hometown of Anchorage, Alaska.

His legacy is a lifeline. His care is a compass. Through this mutual aid fund, the doors he always held open stay open for others.
